AFS Ring membership criteria

1. The site must be an official AFS Partner or AFS Volunteer Chapter Web site. AFS Volunteer Chapter sites must be approved by their AFS country.

2. The site must include on it's frontpage the HTML fragment of the ring (ring links and official new ring logo). The HTML fragment is customized, each site has a unique ID number. If you lost your ring informations, we can resend it to you.

3. The site should have a link to the AFS International site; a chapter site should have a link to its country site, if available.

4. The site must be consistent with AFS's new common identity, i.e. properly use the new AFS logo, as stated in the Identity Standard's Manual. The old AFS logo should be removed from the site.

5. The site must contain no offensive or potentially offensive material, i.e. references to sex, drugs, guns, etc. and neither should it be linked to a site containing such material.

6. The site must respect applicable data protection and privacy laws.

7. The site is required to maintain a certain level of quality and accuracy, i.e. avoid dead links, poor design, etc.

Please note :

Web sites that are part of the Web Ring are checked monthly. The gatekeeper of the AFS Ring ensures the Ring's integrity. If a site at one point appears not to meet the above requirements, we will ask the webmaster to improve it and reapply later.

You'll receive a newsletter keeping you up to date with the ring evolution.

Webmasters of member sites are welcome to participate in the AFS Ring Mailing List to share ideas and comments. This mailing list is open to all AFS webmasters, whether their site is already a member of the ring or is in the process of becoming one.

The above listed criteria may change as the needs of the system change and the AFS Ring develops.

You meet the above criterias? Apply to the AFS Ring.
