Normandie

Culture
Giverny

On the North coast of France, Normandie features rich countryside and a varied coastline and is well known for its agriculture and historical sites such as the Bayeux Tapestry. It contains the important ports of Dieppe and Le Havre which provide links with Britain and the North Sea, and its principal city Rouen features the famous location where Joan of Arc was executed by the English. It is also the home of the beaches where the D-day landings took place and the region's large number of cows actually outnumbers its inhabitants.
